While the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) has plenty of permanent exhibits, its temporary ones keep with the ever-changing nature of art. One of SAM’s upcoming exhibits is Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style. Scheduled to run from October 11, 2016 to January 8, 2017, this new exhibit highlights the 44-year career of designer Yves Saint Laurent. The exhibit is organized in partnership with the Fondation Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent in Paris and will feature several new additions that have yet to be seen by the public.

Visitors to the upcoming exhibit will have the opportunity to see the evolution of the famed designer’s career. Beginning with his first sketch and fabric selection, the exhibit will include information and items from Laurent’s first studio, Paper Doll Couture House, all the way to his last runway collection. More than 100 garments will be featured at the exhibit, along with accessories, drawings, films, and photographs that all come from the Fondation Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent archives.
